What a wonderful event! This may mark the beginning of an annual Good Crop/Paisley Love Rose celebration. This all ages concert held in the Library of the Fairmont Empress Hotel brought out the child in everyone.
Paisley Love Rose was accompanied again, by special guests, virtuoso guitarist Eric Harper and expert percussionist Brad Hawkes! The trio really came together at this event and provided families with a beautiful, happy, and carefree time to spend with their kids. Paisley has many happy memories of being around music and musicians – his father was Jim Smith, a Victoria Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee – and one of his fondest dreams was to provide that same experience for as many children as he can. And we think he did it!
Families were surrounded by the warmth of the room and the people. There was ample space for the children to dance, sing, and spend whatever energy they needed to enjoy the show! All parents received a complementary Christmas photo of their entrance to the room taken by our premier sponsor for the event; Praveen Ponraj Photography.
Half way through the concert children were surprised to receive a gift bag (sponsored by Celestialinks Chainmail by Design), with some treats and a musical instrument. They certainly chimed in on the next few songs with these gifts. Later, when the balloons arrived it was a really fun time for everyone.
The event also provided some joyous footage for an upcoming video for Paisley’s next single “I Live My Life”.
Many thanks go to our sponsors, already mentioned are Praveen Ponraj Photography, Celestialinks, and additionally, A Sea of Bloom Flower Shop for a bouquet of roses and Little Vienna Bakery, (Sooke, BC) for providing a vegan birthday cake for the December children.
Paisley Love Rose and Good Crop Records thank all the parents and children who took part in this inaugural event! Your good vibes and happy smiles will stay with us all year!
